Peter read music at Grey College, Durham University; where he specialised in both electro-acoustic and acoustic composition. He began composing whilst a chorister with the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge; creating a large output of choral and vocal compositions. Peter then focused on large-scale orchestral works, including programmatic concert works and music for ballet; before moving to create music for film and television, including sound design.

He went onto become Graduate Musician in Residence and a Visiting Teacher in Music Production at Millfield School

He is currently Assistant Director of Music at Wellingborough School
